SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Miami, with Dr. Lewis Holland, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Plainview, officiating.BURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cunningham was born September 5, 1910 in Clay County, Texas. She moved to Miami in 1925 with her parents, W. B. & Mary Hannah Walker. She graduated from Miami High School. She married Joe J. Cunningham on June 29, 1931 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1980. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer and organist, and was a life member of the Wesleyan Service Guild. She was a member and past matron of the Miami Chapter #98 Order of the Eastern Star. She served as vice president and treasurer of the Order of the Eastern Star Gavel Club in Pampa, and held a dual membership in the New Mexico Bethel Chapter #15 of Tucumcari. Mildred was most proud that she was a three time winner of the National Cow Calling Contest in the Grandmother Division. In 1957 she was appointed Justice of the Peace of Pct. 1 of Roberts County. She served for 29 years, retiring in 1986. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Toby Cunningham & wife Jeannie of Panhandle. 1 Daughter: Ruth Ann Litchfield of Tucumcari, New Mexico. 4 Grandchildren: Donny Cunningham of League City, Sam Cunningham of Amarillo, Nikki Smith of Lockney and Leslie Brusa of Las Vegas, Nevada. 11 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandson. 1 Sister: Helen Philpott & husband Kint of Pampa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson Joe Litchfield; a son-in-law, Calvin Litchfield; 3 sisters, May Cunningham, Dortha Airhart and Catherine Fazzi; and 2 brothers, Frank Walker and Ernest Walker.
