SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, February 26, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of White Deer, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2007, at the Silent Home Cemetery in Crawford, Oklahoma, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Keahey was born March 22, 1915 in Crawford, Oklahoma. He married Novella Hillman on December 20, 1939 in Crawford, Oklahoma. They owned a small grocery store in Crawford before moving to White Deer in 1951. He worked as a machinist for Cabot for over 10 years. He then worked for the White Deer Independent School District for over 25 years. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church. He and two of his brothers were ordained on February 15, 1951. He faithfully served the Lord all his life.SURVIVORS: Wife: Novella Keahey of the home. 2 Sons: Larry Altus Keahey & wife Ruby of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and James Earl Keahey of Guymon, Oklahoma. 1 Daughter: LaQueta Jamieson & husband Jim of Killingsworth, Connecticut. 1 Sister: Audrey Rorabaugh of San Lois Abisbo, California. 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Keahey in 1942, 6 brothers, Leon Keahey, Edwin Keahey, Vernon Keahey, Johnny Keahey, L. B. Keahey and Gerald Keahey, and 1 sister, Lois Painter. Memorials may be made to the Altus Keahey Scholarship Fund, c/o White Deer High School, P.O. Box 247, White Deer, 79097.
