SERVICES: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at Sooner East Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma with Jerry McCorkle, minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Ford Funeral Service of Midwest City. BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Lewis was born Oct. 1, 1916 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Henry and Sina Robinson Lewis. He graduated from Southwestern College in Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1928 with a bachelor's degree in biology in secondary education. He married Mildred Orene Trammel in 1938 near Hollis, and they were married until her death in 1974. In 1975, he married Frieda Roan Ross in Pampa where they lived until her death in 1998. Mr. Lewis worked for Ron Schools as a teacher, principal, and coach. He then worked for Phillips Petroleum from 1944 until 1981, when he retired as field superintendent. He had served as an elder at the Wells Street Church of Christ in Pampa for many years before moving to Oklahoma, where he had been an active member of the Sooner East Church of Christ. Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, of 36 years; his wife, Frieda, of 23 years; his parents, Henry and Sina Lewis, and by a brother, Nevel Lewis.SURVIVORS: Son: Dr. Larry J. Lewis and wife Barbara of Choctaw; 2 grandsons: Gary Joe Lewis of Lubbock, TX and Dr. Terry Neal Lewis and wife, Cindy, of Midwest City, OK; and by 6 great grandchildren: Devree, Megan and Jared, all of Lubbock, and Kayla, Alyssa, and Brock, all of Midwest City.
