SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2007, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, and Shane Downs, a grandson, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Davis was born January 5, 1906 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Pampa for the past 28 years, moving from New Mexico where she and her family were pinto bean farmers. She married Marvin Davis on January 2, 1929 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a homemaker and for many years did sewing for the public. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church. She was known for her doll collection and making quilts and afghans.SURVIVORS: 3 Daughters: Geneva Johnston & husband OB of Conchas Dam, New Mexico, Peggy Hall & husband Raye of Pampa, and Carol Downs of Fritch. 1 Son: Nelson Davis & wife Joyce of Saline, Louisiana. 1 Brother: Clyde Meadows of Austin. 18 Grandchildren, 48 Great-Grandchildren, 14 Great-Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065, or BSA Hospice, 800 N.
