Ricky Pfeil, nephew, officiating.BURIAL: Groom Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Bowers was born August 18, 1927 in Pampa where he had been a resident most of his life. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He worked in the oilfield as a derrick hand and also trained race horses. He married Georgia Owens on June 7, 1982 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2001.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Jackie Beck of Belton, Missouri. 2 Brothers: Kenneth Bowers & wife Debbie of McLean and David Bowers of Pampa. 1 Sister: Bennie Pfeil of Amarillo. 2 Grandchildren. 2 Nephews: Greg Bowers of Clarendon and Rick Pfeil of Amarillo. 1 Niece: Debra Shelton of Amarillo. Several cousins, including Tommy Bowers of Pampa. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Rowdy Bowers and Loys Wilson; father, Silas Bowers; mother, Sudie Bowers; and step-mother, Jessie Albertson.MEMORIALS: KJRT Radio Station, P.O.
