He attended schools in Wynnewood and Sulphur, Oklahoma. He married Esther Ruth Sears on June 3, 1942 in Troup, Texas. He was employed at Baroid as an engineer from 1945 until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pampa. He was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. He was a member of the Pampa Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He was a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary. SURVIVORS: Wife: Esther Ruth Sears Gibson of Amarillo. 6 Nieces & Nephews: Don Lee Gibson of Parker, Colorado, George Ruth Gibson of Garland, Diana Gibson Merrill of Plano, Jimmy Gibson of Houston, Carolyn Sue Cloyd of Magnolia, and Barbara K. Miller of Nederland. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: George Earl Gibson, William Clyde Gibson, Ernest Lee Gibson, and Robert Watt Gibson.MEMORIALS: First Presbyterian Church, 525 N.
