SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. C. W. Parker, Odyssey Hospice chaplain, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2006, at the Crowell Cemetery in Crowell, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Potts was born May 13, 1930 in Wichita Falls. He attended school in Crowell. He was employed by Walco International of Dodge City, Kansas for 30 years. He married Joyzelle McIntire on December 2, 1978 in Pampa. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Crowell. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and go camping. He loved spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: Wife: Joyzelle Potts of the home. 1 Son: Keith Potts & wife Janet of Guymon, Oklahoma. 4 Step-Children: Kathy Topper of Pampa, Jan Woods of Skellytown, Wiley McIntire and Paul McIntire, both of Amarillo. 1 Sister: Neva Locklear of Wichita Falls. 1 Special Cousin: Steve White of Crowell. 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Geneva Potts and a son, Kent Potts. MEMORIALS: Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, Texas 79106, or a favorite charity.
