SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, with Jim Hubbard, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Price was born December 17, 1927 at Bagwell, Texas, to Gilbert & Mary Catherine Stephens. She was a 1948 graduate of Miami High School. She moved to Pampa in 1950, working at Caldwell's Drive-In from 1951 until 1959. She married John Weldon Price on January 4, 1960, and they moved to Planview at that time. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1975, and she returned to Pampa after his death. She again worked at Caldwell's Drive-In for a short time, and then went to work at Kentucky Fried Chicken for Jack Ward for 10 years, retiring in 1987. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren in Pampa where she taught children's Sunday School classes. SURVIVORS: 1 Brother: Cecil Hubbard of Claude and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bryce Hubbard and Roy Eldon Hubbard, and 1 sister, LaVerne Rose.
