SERVICES: 10:00 AM Friday, November 24, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Pastor Pam Lehman of the White Deer United Methodist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Evans was born October 31, 1915 in Ordway, Colorado. She had been a resident of White Deer since 1935. She married Clarence M. Evans on August 8, 1936 in Hereford. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1998. She operated Golda's Caf? from 1946 until 1947, and the White Deer Drug Fountain in 1950. She worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a clerk from 1952 until 1976, retiring as Post Master. She was a member of the White Deer Senior Citizens, and the American Red Cross.SURVIVORS: Several nieces and nephews, including 2 Nieces: Jeannie Shirley of Oknagon, Washington, and Ruth Lauer of Wisconsin. 2 Nephews: Ronald Parker of Karval, Colorado, and Bob Stevens of Olympia, Washington.
