SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Arvia Willingham, and Rodney Tedford, pastor of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating.BURIAL: Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Chapman was born October 17, 1919 in Melrose, New Mexico. He married Maryedith (Wanda) Haworth on October 28, 1939 in Somerton, Ariozona. He had been a resident of Wheeler and Port Aransas for many years, moving to Pampa on July 13, 2003. He was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed fishing. He loved to spend time with his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: Wife: Wanda Chapman of the home. 1 Son: Johnny Chapman & wife Betty of Pampa. 2 Daughters: Shirley Johnson & husband Wallace of Longview, and JoAnn Helton & husband Jim of Pampa. 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter Joyce Ann in 1940, 2 brothers Teddy Lee Chapman and Albert Chapman, and 1 sister Anna Mae Martin.MEMORIALS: Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S.
