SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at the Bible Church of Pampa with Rev. Bob Banks, pastor, officiating. Private entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Imel was born Feb. 11, 1933 in Turkey, Texas and was raised in Skellytown, moving to Pampa in 1959. He married Clara Washington on Oct. 17, 1952 in Pampa. He graduated from North Texas State University in Denton in 1959 with a B. S. degree and a teaching certificate. He was a training supervisor at Cabot Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Bible Church of Pampa.SURVIVORS: Wife: Clara Imel of the home; 1 daughter: Judy Williams and husband Rob of Amarillo; 1 son: Rodney Imel and wife Kathy of Baton Rouge, LA; 1 brother: Cletis Imel and wife Rosie of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren: Amy, Jenny, and Alex Imel, all of Baton Rouge; Reagan Williams of Amarillo and Natalie Gorrell and husband Adam of Abilene; and a host of other close relatives and many longtime friends.
