SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church with Rev. Linda Kelly, rector, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Reid was born Nov. 4, 1923 in Whizbang, Oklahoma and had lived in Pampa most of her life. She married Raymond Edward Reid on May 26, 1945 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2001. She was co-owner of Cree Oil Co. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Reid was a very accomplished artist and traveled the world, recording her experiences in her paintings. She will be remembered for her passion for people and her joyful laugh.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Diane Reid and Shelley Reid, both of Tucson, AZ; a son: Raymond Reid, II of Argyle; a brother: William R. Cree of Abilene; 2 grandchildren: Ashley Smith and Stephen Smith. She was preceded in death by a brother, George B. Cree, Jr.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Reid's dear friend, Louise Adkism, and to her Carebears: Betty Renfro, Melba Lang, Faye Miller, Evelyn Reger, Elda Silva, Lynette Marciel, Joanne Taylor, and Christine Griffin.MEMORIALS: may be made to cancer research.The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Thursday at the church. Following the service, all are invited to a reception at the Pampa Country Club.
