SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Joshuah Ellis, Church of Christ minister, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Couts was born January 31, 1929 in Gray County. She attended school in Grandview. She married William Edward Couts on July 31, 1949 in her parents home. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1990. She was the daughter and granddaughter of early Gray County pioneers. She was active on the family farm. She actively supported the Gray County Livestock Show for many years. She was awarded an honorary chapter farmers degree in 1996 by the Pampa Future Farmers of America. SURVIVORS: 5 Sons: John Couts, Joe Couts, Clint Couts and Charley Couts, all of Pampa, and William Edward "Bill" Couts of Caldwell. 4 Daughters: Charlet Couts, Linda Couts and Marilyn Couts Bridges, all of Dayton, and Janneice Couts Pool of Eunice, New Mexico. 5 Brothers: Vernon of Amarillo, Ruben of Groom, Nace of Claude, Franklin of Lubbock and James of Mount Pleasant. 3 Sisters: Margaret Whatley of Groom, Irene Baggerman of Amarillo and Roselle Baggerman Collingsworth of Pampa. 23 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, 11 Step-Grandchildren, 15 Step-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Carl Couts on December 5, 1971, 1 brother, Johnny Baggerman in 1967, and 1 sister, Mildred Miller on November 10, 2000.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
