SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with honor guard presentation by VFW Post #1657. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hampton was born November 17, 1945 in Lubbock. He married Barbara Tugwell on May 14, 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a cable technician for over 30 years. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church. He was an avid woodworker. He was a member of the VFW Post #1657. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.SURVIVORS: Wife: Barbara Hampton of the home. 4 Sons: Richard Hampton & wife Angie of Mulvane, Kansas, Robert Hampton of Long Beach, California, Chris Hampton and Marc Hampton & wife Lora, all of Pampa. 1 Daughter: Candy Riley of Pampa. Father: Wendell Hampton of Naples. 13 Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Ronnie Hampton & wife Judy of El Paso. 1 Sister: Sharon Scott & husband Mike of Canyon.
