SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 21, 2006, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rusty Ratliff, a cousin of Amarillo, and Steve Porter, elder of the Primitive Baptist Church of Paducah, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Sloan was born August 25, 1951 in Pampa, and had been a lifelong resident of Pampa and Roberts County. He was a longtime ranch hand and cowboy. He was an honorary member of the Rodeo Cowboys Association. He was a former member of the Pampa Sheltered Workshop. He was a caregiver for his grandparents. He was a member of the Troop 13 of the Boy Scouts of America.SURVIVORS: Parents: Jack & Betty Sloan of Pampa, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo & Thelma Paris and Fred & Stella Sloan; 2 uncles and 2 cousins. MEMORIALS: First Christian Church Children's Program Revitalization, 1633 N. Nelson, Pampa, Texas 79065, or a favorite charity.
