SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Whitson was born April 8, 1925 in Sopar, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He retired from Windsor Oil Service in 1990 after 39 years of service. He had been a resident of the McLean Care Center for the past 3 years. He married Freeda Christian on April 22, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1999.SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Lesley Whitson & wife Lillian of Pampa, and John A. Whitson & wife Lillian of Morrisville, North Carolina. 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnna Lynn Whitson, and a son, James L.
