Raymond Bruce Sadler Sr.

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe, with Rev. David Hartwig, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Sadler was born June 17, 1920 in Quanah. He married Vivian Louise Metcalf on March 26, 1939 in Hollis, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2005. He had been a resident of Plainview from 1963 until he moved to Pampa in 2005. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II, serving on the USS Ontario. He founded the Hale County Sheet Metal, and operated it until his retirement in the late 1990's. He served as an assistant Boy Scout troop leader for Troop 221 in Plainview from 1964 until 1969, and on January 22, 1993, was inducted into the Haynes District Boy Scout Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow.SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Raymond Bruce Sadler, Jr. of Dolores, Colorado, Joe Sadler of Vernon and Gil Sadler & wife Pam of Pampa. 1 Sister: Pansy Brownlow & husband Curtis of Quanah. 3 Grandsons: Paul Sadler & wife Kelly of Iowa Park, Kevin Sadler of Wichita Falls, and Danny Grant & wife Penny of Lubbock. 10 Great-Grandchildren.
