SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Miami with Bill Burkholder, interim pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Jenkins was born July 6, 1932 in Dallas and had been a resident of Miami since 1934. He graduated from Miami High School and attended Texas Tech University. He married Monett Treadwell on July 10, 1956 in Wheeler. He was involved in farming and ranching in the Miami area from 1955 until his death. Mr. Jenkins was a member of First Baptist Church of Miami and the Miami Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of the Miami American Legion Post.SURVIVORS: Wife: Monett Jenkins of the home; 2 sons: Kenneth Jenkins and wife Lahree of Duncan, OK and Kevin Jenkins and wife Janice of Brentwood, Tennessee; a sister: Carol Gordon and husband Frederick of Miami; and by 5 grandchildren: Bradley, Jacci, and Ryan Jenkins, all of Duncan, OK and Zachary and Noah Jenkins, both of Brentwood, TN.
