She had been a resident of Pampa since 1960. She married H. J. Preston on August 11, 1960 in Borger. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2006. She worked in the banking industry in Pampa for over 25 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting and reading. She was particularly fond of spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Jones.
