BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Cotham was born November 10, 1930 in Lefors. He married Joyice Miller on August 22, 1953 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Lefors from 1964 until 1992 when he moved to Pampa. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum, retiring in 1985 as a supervisor, after 24 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a former chief with the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department, and was a coach and member of the Lefors Optimist Club. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army with the 82nd Airborne, serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict.SURVIVORS: Wife: Joyice Cotham of the home. 4 Daughters: Rheta Arechiga & husband Javier of Laredo, Vicky Halliburton & husband Lyle, Stacy Hinkle & husband David, and Howdi Allison & husband Tyler, all of Pampa. 1 Son: Floyd Cotham, Jr., & Gene Schulle of Dallas. 8 Grandchildren: Heather Maul & husband Adam, Micki Petty, Austin Hinkle, Adisson Hinkle, Aaron Hinkle, and Ella Allison, all of Pampa, and Jessica Arechiga and Randee Arechiga, both of Laredo. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Mallorie Petty, Maddox Nieto, Lexi Maul, and Braxton Maul, all of Pampa. 1 Sister: Joyce Marie Peterson of Chocktaw, Oklahoma. 1 Sister-in-Law: Phyllis Wilson & husband Elmer of Pampa. Numerous nieces and nephews. Family pets: Bud, Gracie, Bell and Chula. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linzy Cotham & Lella Cotham, and 2 brothers, Bob Cotham and Carl Cotham.
