SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Brian Loughmiller, minister of the Central Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Posey was born May 31, 1912 in Milo, Oklahoma. She married Travis Posey on March 7, 1933 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1976. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1942. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ and she was a homemaker.SURVIVORS: Son-in-Law: Dale Cates of Palms, California. 3 Grandchildren: Richard Cates & wife Hilda of Ontario, California, Carlton Cates & wife Pamela of Pampa, and Debra Dinges & husband Ken of Amarillo. 6 Great-Grandchildren: Patty Ybarra & husband Alfredo of Centerton, Arkansas, Stephine Dinges of Amarillo, Kimberly Hughes of Pampa, Melinda Cates of Bossier City, Louisiana, Eva Cates and Karla Cates, both of Omaha, Nebraska. 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren: Karen Page and Richard Page, both of Shreveport, Louisiana. 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kayla Michelle Hughes and Jaycee Hughes, both of Center, Michael Hughes and Tyler Hughes, both of Pampa, and Kylista Cates of Shreveport, Louisiana. 4 Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren: Cody Page and Ryan Page, both of Center, Tifeny Page and Jothan Page, both of Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Marie Hilbern on April 14, 1999.
