SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with Nancy Ruff, commissioned lay pastor of First Presbyterian Church, and Roger Hunter, son-in-law, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Bohlander was born February 20, 1925 in Erie, Kansas. He came to Pampa in 1954 from Stark, Kansas where he graduated from Stark High School. He married Mary Lee McPhetter in 1947. She preceded him in death in 1960. He later married Betty Myatt on August 23, 1961 in Pampa. In 1963, he purchased Pampa Bearing Service Company that built industrial engine bearings for jet engines. He established a construction company called Pampa Grouting Service and performed work for the oil, gas and chemical industries in the Texas Panhandle and the western part of the United States. He was a pilot and had logged several thousand hours of flying time. He was a member of the Pampa Flying Club, did volunteer work for Pampa Meals on Wheels and was an active volunteer for BSA Hospice for 10 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM, the Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory, and was a 32nd degree Mason.SURVIVORS: Wife: Betty Bohlander of the home. 1 Son: Steven Merle Bohlander & wife Maureen of Gardner, Kansas. 2 Daughters: Debra Hunter & husband Roger of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Jeri Cole of Amarillo. 4 Grandchildren: Jon Bohlander and Bert Bohlander, both of Kansas City, Kansas, Christopher Wood of Seattle, Washington, and Jeremy Cole of Arlington; and by 5 Great-Grandchildren.
