He married Marcelle Ruff on November 11, 1950 in Madera, California. He had been a resident of Pampa for the past 4 years, moving from Bosque Farms, New Mexico. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church. He was a retired construction worker and he loved fishing, camping and his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: Wife: Marcelle Batson of the home. 3 Daughters: Jennifer Brummett & husband Glenn of Pampa, Deborah Perrin & husband Dennis of Montrose, Colorado, and Leslie Aragon of Cosa Grande, Arizona. 1 Son: Gary Batson & wife Mary of Del Norte, Colorado. 1 Brother: Harold Batson of Eugene, Oregon. 10 Grandchildren: Michael Ray Bass, Tracy Goetz, Darlene Allsups, Tammy Snell, Shane Bass, Gus Hines, Jaime Lopez, Dusty Hines, LeeAnn Lopez, and Cassondra Lopez. 15 Great-Grandchildren.
