SERVICES: 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Paul Nachtigall, pastor of the Highland Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Nail was born March 13, 1932 in Brad, Texas, and had been a resident of Pampa since 1954. He married Betty Joan Burns on September 23, 1955 in Pampa. He worked as an oil pumper for Cabot-Pampa Plant for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He was an avid bowler for 30 years and loved to play the guitar and sing. When he was 12 years old, he had a 30-minute musical radio program at KVWC in Vernon. SURVIVORS: Wife: Betty Joan Nail of the home. 1 Son: Darwynn Nail & wife Debra of China Spring. 2 Sisters: Diana Quarles of Ft. Worth, and Kathy Fritche of Temple. 1 Brother: Wilburn Nail of Lubbock. 1 Grandson: Keaton Nail of China Spring, and 2 Step-Grandchildren: Logan Voorhies and Mitchell Voorhies, both of China Spring.
