SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2006, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Gene Allen, retired Full Gospel minister, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites courtesy of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 and Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Bearden was born on November 20, 1921 at Timpson, Texas and was a resident of Pampa since 1938. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1942 and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as a Navy Seabee deep-sea diver on the Pacific Front. He married Dorothy Nell Abbott on Aug. 29, 1942 in Erick, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2000. Mr. Bearden was a master plumber, retiring in 1985 from Sullins Plumbing Co. after 40 years of service. He also owned and operated B. B. (Red) Bearden Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for 5 years in the late 1950's. Mr. Bearden was a 32nd degree Mason and was past Worshipful Master and a 50-year member of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966. He served the Masonic Lodge as district deputy, and district instructor and was a recipient of the Golden Trial Award. He was a member of Pampa Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star and was a past president of the Pampa Shrine Club.He was a past director and lifetime member of the Top O' Texas Rodeo Association and was a past president of the Pampa Roping Club. He was a member of the original Boy Scout Troop #16 in the late 1930's and was a member of Briarwood Church.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Johnny Bearden and wife Eileen of Dumas; 1 daughter: Gloria Willson and husband Alfred of Pampa; 4 grandchildren: Darren Poore and wife Kelly of Austin, Brandi Silva and husband Tony of Frisco, Clay Bearden and wife Amy of Benbrook, and Brook Bearden and wife Tara of Dublin; 5 great grandchildren: Riley and Logan Poore, both of Austin; Loren and Luke Silva of Frisco, and Bridget Bearden of Benbrook.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will be at 1529 Coffee in Pampa.
