SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Fairview Cemetery, with Bishop Robert Wood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Gillis was born January 5, 1928 in Pampa, where he had been a lifelong resident. He married Jean Eddy on June 14, 1952 in Roswell, New Mexico, and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1977. He was a lab technician for Phillips Petroleum, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Pampa. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II.SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Patricia Ann Feinauer of Grand Prairie, and Glenda Bowen of Pampa. 1 Son: Daniel Gillis of Carrollton. 1 Brother: Jerry Gillis of Amarillo. 2 Sisters: Clarice Jones of Amarillo and Iris Britton of Fredericksburg. 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandson.
