SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2006, at the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo and Rodney Tedford, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors presented by the U. S. Marine Corps. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Harris was born on Feb. 26, 1926 in Shamrock, attended schools in Kelton, and attended Draughon's Business College in Oklahoma City. He married Lois May on June 6, 1948 in Wheeler. He worked for Cabot Corp. for several years and later owned and operated Harris Transfer and Storage for 23 years. Mr. Harris then owned West Side Lawn Mower Shop for several years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the Pampa VFW Post. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrie Harris, by his parents, four sisters, and five brothers.SURVIVORS: Wife: Lois Harris of the home; a son: Andy Harris and wife Wendy of Amarillo; a daughter, Lisa Darden of Pampa; 3 brothers: Chauncie Clay of Canyon, and Coy Clay and Virgil Clay, both of Shamrock; 3 sisters: Wanda Jean "Bill" Fleming of Pampa and Willie Warren and Lois Hall, both of Amarillo; 3 granddaughters: Jo Beth Harris and Kami Harris, both of Amarillo, and Autumn Darden of Pampa; 2 grandsons: Marcus Harris and Mitchell Harris, both of Amarillo.MEMORIALS: Westview Boys' Home, P.
