Bob Davis, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hughes was born July 6, 1927 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He married Rosa Lee Shacklefoot on May 21, 1946 in Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2000. He retired from Cabot Corp. as a maintenance supervisor after many years of service. He was a member of the Progressive Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Linda K. Ford of Pampa and Fannie R. Smith of Glenn Heights. 3 Sons: Terry Hughes and Don Hughes, both of Pampa, and Champ Hughes, Jr., of Borger. 1 Sister: Earnestine Duncan of Amarillo. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
