SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Carter was born on July 9, 1922 in Evening Shade, Arkansas and had been a resident of Pampa since 1930. He married Wanda Roberts on June 15, 1952 in Lefors. He was a lab technician at Cabot Corp. for 37 years, retiring in 1987. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II, stationed at Pampa Army Air Base, then serving in Italy with the 15th Air Force 52nd Fighter Group. He was a member of First Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: Wife: Wanda Carter of the home; a son: Randy Wayne Carter and wife Pam of Pampa; 2 sisters: Fannie Lee Carter of Pampa and Pauline Skidmore of Panhandle; a brother: Paul Carter of Pampa; a grandson: Bobby Carter and wife Sarah of Lubbock.MEMORIALS: Lefors Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service, P.
