She had been a resident of Pampa since 1976. She married T. I. Loter on Oct. 20, 1932 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2003. Mrs. Loter worked as a sales clerk at Gabriel's Department Store in Plainview for 15 years, and she worked in various garden centers in Pampa for about 10 years. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was known by her family as "Mama" Loter. She loved gardening, working with flowers, and quilting.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Eloise Dowlen and Merilyn Howell and husband Jim, all of Pampa; 2 sons: Ronnie Loter and wife Wetia and Lonnie Loter and wife Ann, all of Pampa; 7 grandsons: Keith Dowlen of Round Rock, Mike Dowlen of Quanah, Glynn Dowlen and Barry Dowlen, both of Amarillo, Kelly Loter of Dallas, Trent Loter of Pampa, and Lance Howell of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 granddaughters: Shannon Loter of Pampa, Amy Chapman of Amarillo, and Stacy Loter of Austin; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
