SERVICES: 10:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Lefors, with Rev. Rick Timmons, son and pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Canadian, Rev. Lewis Ellis, retired Baptist pastor, and Rev. Earl Maddox, retired Baptist pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Timmons was born March 9, 1930 in Hale Center. He had been a resident of the Gray County area since 1944. He married Eva Joyce Morgan on January 6, 1950 in Pampa. He worked for the Coltexo Gas Plant as a repairman, retiring in 1995 after 46 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lefors. He was a former member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Pampa where he taught young people for over 40 years, and served as music director for 25 years. He was a member of the Lefors Independent School District Board for 14 years.The family would like to give special thanks to the Texas Senior Care nurses, aides and caregivers.SURVIVORS: Wife: Eva Joyce Timmons of the home. 1 Daughter: Lea Ann Cochran & husband Ted of Pampa. 1 Son: Rick Lee Timmons & wife Sherry of Canadian. 1 Brother: Charles Timmons of White Deer. 4 Grandsons: Eric Cochran, Jason Cochran, Brad Timmons and Jarrod Timmons. 1 Granddaughter: Erica Cochran. 6 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tim Timmons and Myrtle Timmons, and 2 brothers, Norman Ray Timmons and Robert Noble Timmons. MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, 315 E. 4th, Lefors, Texas 79054
