SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. McKnight was born on Dec. 20, 1935 in Antlers, Oklahoma and came to the Texas Panhandle in 1937. He was a 1955 graduate of Lefors High School. He married Peggy Cannon in 1977 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 1981. He worked for Cabot Corporation, the Texas Railroad Commission, and Colorado Energy for many years. He was a Baptist and a former member of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 AF & AM. Mr. McKnight was a veteran of the U. S. Army during peacetime. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Twila McKnight, in 1968, and by his parents, L. A. and Eula McKnight.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Kelli McKnight Collins of Pampa; 1 granddaughter: Sara Collins of Pampa; 1 sister: Mozelle Crutcher and husband Paskel of Owasso, OK; 2 brothers: Loyd McKnight and wife Shirley of Howardwick and Mayo McKnight and wife Mary of Cushing, OK; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
