Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Gooch was born February 20, 1926 in Harrison, Arkansas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1946. He married Marion Whitten on June 18, 1948 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on March 6, 1985. He later married Virginia Ferguson on October 3, 1987 in Pampa. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church and the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. He was a foreman at Cabot Corporation/IRI for 38 years, retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II.SURVIVORS: Wife: Virginia Gooch of the home. 1 Daughter: Kim Davis & husband John of Pampa. 1 Son: Bart Gooch & wife Debbie of Skellytown. 3 Sisters: Rene Fowler and Ruby Tomlinson, both of Harrison, Arkansas, and Elizabeth Stemson of Abilene. 3 Grandchildren: Cassie Feo of Plano, Stephen Fewell of Sulphur Springs, and Caleb Jackson Davis of Pampa. 1 Stepson: Al Ferguson & wife Susie of Pampa. 1 Stepdaughter: Ginger Foster & husband Rick of Pampa. 12 Step-Grandchildren, 7 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
