SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2005, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military rites courtesy U. S. Army, Ft. Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Jones was born January 31, 1923 in Brock, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1952. He married Evylen Wallace on August 29, 1985 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2002. He was a mechanic for Celanese Corp., retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II as a machine gunner with the 552nd Anti-Aircraft Battalion Unit. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: DeNelda Burke of Pampa. 2 Grandsons. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nita Glover Miller in 1999.MEMORIALS: Alzheimer's Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
