SERVICES: 10:30 AM Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, and Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Turner was born on Sept. 20, 1920 at Stroud, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Pampa since 1939. He married Minelle Baird on Dec. 22, 1940 in Pampa. He worked for Panhandle Industrial for 53 years, serving as president of the company from 1976 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and a member of Everyman's Bible Class. He also taught Sunday school classes for many years to 9-year old boys and high school seniors. Mr. Turner was a member of the Pampa Economic Development Board for several years, a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966, and a former member of the Pampa Rotary Club. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, and play golf. He was also an avid bird watcher and lover. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lynn Turner, in 1999, and by seven sisters.SURVIVORS: Wife: Minelle Turner of the home; 2 sons: Dan Turner and wife Terrie of Dumas and David Turner of Bristow, OK; 4 grandchildren: Shane Turner and wife Krista of Dalhart, Alison Edwards and husband Chris of Washington, DC, Carson Cahall and husband Kevin of Shawnee, OK, and Jaclyn Turner of Bristow, OK; 4 great grandchildren: Buddy and Jacob Cahall, both of Shawnee, and Matthew and Morgan Turner, both of Dalhart.MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, P.
