John Westman, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Dyer was born November 22, 1924 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. He married Neva Rich on January 16, 1943 in Memphis, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1945. He was the former owner of Harvester Barbecue, and was the founder of Dyer's Barbecue. From 1949 until 1954, he was employed by the Pampa Police Department, and from 1954 until 1979, he was employed by the Pampa Fire Department, retiring as fire chief. He was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM and St. Paul United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime volunteer for the Special Olympics. SURVIVORS: Wife: Neva Dyer of Pampa. 1 Son: Roy Dyer & wife Christy of Amarillo. 1 Sister: Mary Hughes of Porterville, California. 4 Brothers: Charles Dyer of California, Curtis Dyer of Stockton, California, Leonard Dyer of Modesto, California, and Floyd Dyer of Chickasha, Oklahoma. 3 Grandchildren: Shane Dyer & wife Shelley, Brent Dyer & wife Kim, and Angela Waters & husband Roy, all of Pampa. 5 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Pampa Special Olympics, P.O.
