Jeff Taylor, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Dixon was born May 6, 1938 in Pampa. She was a 1955 graduate of Pampa High School and attended McMurry College in Abilene for 2 years. She married Jack Long in 1955 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 1972. She later married David Dixon on December 29, 1975 in Austin. She lived in Guam, Aurora, Colorado, Sundance, Wyoming and Austin before moving back to Pampa in 2000. Since returning to Pampa, she was very active in marketing school and athletic calendars for the Pampa Independent School District. She was a member and current president of the Pampa Chapter of Altrusa International. She was co-founder of Astra, a youth club at Pampa High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, was Communications chairperson, and Igniting Ministries chairperson.SURVIVORS: Husband: David Dixon of the home. 2 Sons: Pastor Robert Long & wife DeAnn of Amarillo, and Tom Long of Pampa. 1 Daughter: Penni Pfitzner & husband Scott of Pampa. 1 Sister: Sibyl Allenson of Splendora. 1 Brother: Lyman Osborne & wife Marge of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 6 Grandchildren: Jarren Long of Canyon, Chad Long and Libby Long, both of Amarillo, Monika Pfitzner of Round Rock, Allison Pfitzner and Karl Pfitzner, both of Pampa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett & Billie Osborne, and a sister, Guena Limarr Osborne. MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
