Jim Powell, pastor of the Hobart Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Taylor was born December 9, 1916 in Martha, Oklahoma. He married Opal Doris Taylor on September 27, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1987. He later married Margaret Dickerson on March 13, 1990 in Wheeler County, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1947. He retired from the Texas Highway Department in 1977 after 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was past president of the Pampa Roping Club.SURVIVORS: Wife: Margaret Taylor of the home. 1 Son: Dennis W. Taylor of Pampa. 1 Daughter: Cathy Taylor Schiffman of Pampa. 4 Step-Children. 1 Sister: Mary E. Longwell of Olaithe, Colorado. 6 Grand-children, 4 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Sue Taylor, a son, Gordon Earl Taylor, and 3 sisters, Gladys Neal, Virginia Conners and Ethel Corn.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
