SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2005, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Dr. Ed Barker, pastor of the Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Martin was born October 4, 1915 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to William & Etta Mae Bennett. She was a longtime Pampa resident before moving to Tucson 6 years ago. She married L. D. Martin in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church when she lived in Pampa. She was a selfless, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a very special person to everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: David Martin of China, Texas, and Nick Martin of Pampa, Texas. 1 Daughter: Anita Freedlander of Tucson, Arizona. 6 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Lucille Hale, Ruth Glaze and Edith Butcher, 2 brothers, Roy Bennett and Joe Bennett, and a son-in-law, Rusty Guy Freedlander.
