BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mitchell was born April 25, 1933 in Goodlett. He was reared in Wheeler, graduating from Wheeler High School in 1952. He married Mary Riley on September 26, 1953 in Wheeler. She preceded him in death on November 10, 1993. He had been a resident of White Deer since 1960. He worked for Cabot and IRI for 37 years, retiring in 1995. He was a charter member of the White Deer Riding Club. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during peace time.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Marla Jo Mitchell of White Deer. 3 Sons: Kent Mitchell & wife Kebby of Dallas, Chuck Mitchell & wife Trecia, and Jim Bob Mitchell & wife Karla, all of White Deer. 1 Brother: Jack Mitchell & wife Wanda of Pampa. 1 Sister: Barbara Meadows & husband Sam of Briscoe. 7 Grandchildren: Layci Danner & husband Casey of Amarillo, Lenzi Hart & husband Donnie of Lubbock, Hayli Ketchum & husband Jason, Tanner Mitchell, Kaycia Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, and Merrit Mitchell, all of White Deer. 6 Great-Grandchildren: Aaron Danner of Pampa, Kienan Ketchum and Karson Ketchum, both of White Deer, Sydni Hart of Lubbock, Alee Danner and Alyx Danner, both of Amarillo.
