Parker, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hanks was born July 23, 1928 in San Augustine County, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1955. He married Reba Barnard on June 29, 1963 in Panhandle. He was an insurance agent for American National Life Insurance Company for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: Wife: Reba Hanks of the home. 2 Sons: Melford Hanks of Pampa, and James Hanks of Skellytown. 1 Daughter: Lorraine Smith of Pampa. 1 Stepson: Dempsey Atwood of Duncan, Oklahoma. 1 Stepdaughter: Stephanie Cross of Gainesville. 2 Sisters: Libby Quandt of Houston, and Sue Jaynes of Grapevine. 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E.
