SERVICES: 10:30 AM Friday, August 5, 2005, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Mackie was born September 5, 1911 in Crowell, Texas, to George Washington Wells & Minnie Louise McClenndon Wells. She married Edward Coleman Mackie on May 14, 1927 at Groom. He preceded her in death in 1966. She was a devoted Christian above all else. She was a wonderful loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and a true friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and a son, Joe Edd Mackie in 1980.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Dorothy Mackie Bird & husband Walker. 1 Daughter-in-Law: Betty Sue Mackie. 7 Grandchildren: Tony Stafford, Teresa Stafford, Sherry Garza, Terry Rodriguez, Jerry Mackie, Tina Thomas, and Brenda Baxter. 11 Great-Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren, many nieces & nephews. MEMORIALS: Sonshine Club or Missions at the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 621, Pampa, Texas 79066-0621, or the Odyssey Health Care Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
