Don Boren, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Borger, officiating.BURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Russell was born August 29, 1923 in Waynoka, Oklahoma. She graduated from Miami High School in 1941. She married Ben Franklin Russell on January 17, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona. She moved to Amarillo in the 1940's, and then to Borger in 1970. She worked many years in the Amarillo and Borger Independent School Districts, and worked for the Texas Department of Child Protective Services until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Borger. Her father worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a section foreman, and consequently her family moved often, and she grew up along the railroad tracks. She entertained her family with lively tunes on the piano. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Ruth Cell.SURVIVORS: Husband: Frank Russell of the home. 3 Sons: Paul Russell & wife Odessa, David Russell & wife Matilda, all of Amarillo, and Don Russell & wife Kay of Borger. 1 Daughter: Benona Love & husband Richard of Amarillo. 1 Sister: Etta Bell Burt & husband Jack of Hemet, California. 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren.
