SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Barry A. Loving, pastor, officiating. Private graveside services will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with graveside rites courtesy Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Finney was born November 3, 1921 in Casey, Illinois. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1935, graduating from Pampa High School in 1940. He married Norma L. Sanders on February 22, 1941 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1976. He owned and operated Leland's Grocery & Market from 1950 until his retirement in 1972. He was a member, deacon and elder of the First Christian Church, and served as chairman of the Board of Elders. He was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Bob Finney & wife Susan of Pampa. 1 Daughter-in-Law: Joan Finney of Trophy Club. 1 Brother: James R. Rose of Sealy. 4 Grandchildren: Matt Finney of Dallas, Todd Finney of Frisco, Vanessa Finney and Alicia Finney, both of Trophy Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark R.
