SERVICES: 9:00 AM Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor of the Carpenter's Church, officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Parks was born on Oct. 1, 1936 in Alma, Michigan, and he came to Pampa in 1984 from Coldwater, Michigan. He married Barbara Smillie on July 19, 1958 in Alma. She preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 2004. Mr. Parks was an auto mechanic. He served in the U. S. Army andU. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Scott Parks of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 daughters: Debbie Parks of Pampa, Michelle Cole of Gatesville, and Valerie Peterson of Marlin; 3 brothers: Gary Parks and Lee Underwood, both of Florida, and Keith Eckoff of Alma, MI; 2 sisters: Bonnie Brown of Alma and Sharon Fernandez of California; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Carpenter's Church, 639 S. Barnes, Pampa, TX 79065.
