SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Rand Southard, son, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Southard was born October 6, 1914 in Dallas County, Missouri. He was reared in Miami and moved to Pampa in 1924. He had been a resident of Kerrville for the past 10 years. He spent several years in the Civilian Conservation Corp., working around the panhandle area to control the erosion of the dust bowl days. He also owned and operated E. R. Southard Motor Company in Pampa. He was employed by Cabot Corporation, retiring as a plant foreman after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Pampa. He was instrumental in the last 15 years of his life in helping his son and daughter-in-law in Kerrville, start a summer camp and children's home for children with learning disabilities.SURVIVORS: Children: Jeanette Edwina Harmon of Lake Dallas, Rand Southard & wife Colleen of Kerrville, Yoby Angeline Southard of Lake Dallas, Guy Sherman Holly and Linnie Farrell Southard & husband Don, all of Lisbon, Iowa. 2 Sisters: Marie Casey and Beth Riley, both of Monahans. 3 Brothers: Don Southard of Lisbon, Iowa, Dale Southard of Amarillo, and Lawrence Southard of California. 15 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Cockrell Southard, his second wife, Molly Bernice Hamrick Southard, his third wife, Ruby Golden Southard, his parents, 4 brothers and sisters.
