SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Penrod, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. McAnelly was born February 3, 1929 in Anson, Texas. She received a B.S. degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton. She married Rex McAnelly on August 26, 1950. She came to Pampa in 1959 from Harlingen. She taught algebra and biology at Pampa High School for 38 years and was department chairman of the Pampa High School Science Department. She also taught for 3 years at the Pampa Learning Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Pampa Classroom Teachers Association, Texas State Teachers Association, National Science Teachers Association, and the Pampa and Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was a lifetime member of the National Education Association, and a longtime member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a charter member of the Junior Service League. She and her husband Rex were members of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. SURVIVORS: Husband: Rex McAnelly of the home. 1 Daughter: Laura Easter of Amarillo. 3 Grandchildren: Brett Greenhouse of Houston, Ashley Easter and Dylan Easter, both of Amarillo. 1 Great-Granddaughter: Gia Greenhouse of Houston.
