Jim Powell, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Davis was born June 22, 1934 in Wheeler County. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1952. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1957. He married May Bachman on August 8, 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico. He worked for H. R. Jeter for 9 years, and was self-employed as a building contractor for the last 40 years. He was a member of the Hobart Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Pampa Optimist Youth Club, serving various offices. He was a member of the Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Baseball Association, and was inducted into the Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 2002. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.SURVIVORS: Wife: May Davis of the home. 3 Sons: James "Jimmy" Davis & wife Theresa, Joe Davis & wife Kim, and John Davis & wife Kim, all of Pampa. 5 Sisters: Cleta Trimble, Joy Haynes & husband Walden, and Sharon Brown, all of Pampa, Nellie Williams of Sudan, and Glenda Pecka of Tucson, Arizona. 1 Brother: Melvin Davis & wife Jeanne of Pampa. 4 Grandchildren: Adam Davis, Jacob Davis, Matricia Davis, and Caleb Jackson Davis, all of Pampa.
