SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Paul Nachtigall, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Poole was born on April 15, 1928 in Maud, Oklahoma. He married Peggy Cottingham on June 22, 1947 in Maud. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1965. He was employed by Halliburton for 25 years as a field supervisor and was an engineering technician for the Texas Railroad Commission, where he retired after 20 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and AMA. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church, the Borger Masonic Lodge, Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory, and Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo. He was an avid motorcyclist, hunter, and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a daughter-in-law.SURVIVORS: Wife: Peggy Poole of the home; 3 sons: George William Poole and wife Vickie, Robert C. Poole and wife Nancy, and Jimmie L. Poole and wife Karrie, all of Pampa; 3 grandsons: Greg Poole and wife Marsha of Pampa, Michael Poole of South Texas, and Andrew William Poole of Cross Plains; 6 granddaughters: Susan Poole, Amanda Poole, and Megan Poole, all of Pampa; Kandra Renee Poole of Stephenville, Susie Goodwin and husband Robert of Enid, Oklahoma and Stephanie of Enid; 6 great grandchildren: Zoie Nichole Garcia of Amarillo, Dallon Poole and Holland Poole, both of Pampa, Austin Goodwin, Morgan Goodwin, and Haley Goodwin, all of Enid, OK.MEMORIALS: Highland Baptist Church, 1301 N.
