SERVICES: 4:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2005, at Central Baptist Church, with Brother Dean Young, a Baptist Minister, Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor at Central Baptist Church, and Rev. Ricky Pfeil, a cousin, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Ring was born November 5, 1938 in Pampa. She was injured in a car accident in 1960, and though paralyzed, she never failed to show faith and compassion to those surrounding her. She lived a life of faithfulness to Christ and to her family. She was a longtime resident of Lefors, moving to Pampa in 1986. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: LaWausa McCurley & husband Bryan of White Deer. 1 Son: Steven Ring of Tuttle, Oklahoma. 2 Sisters: Billie James of Decatur, and Delena Young of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma. 3 Grandsons: Chad Box & wife Sherry, and Evan McCurley, all of White Deer, and Micheal Box & wife Pami of Pampa. 7 Great-Grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Buddy Ring in 1972 and Dennis Ring in 1960, and her parents, D. T. & Teba Pfeil. Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
